its seems like super nintendo/NES/Sega genesis games were so much harder than any new game out. I wish someone would make a 2D game for xbox 360, but make it like 3000 hours worth of content, that would be nice.
The only game I can think of that was really hard to beat was Super Mario the Lost Levels

I can't decide on a fifth, maybe something for NES like Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 or Castlevania. I had a tough time with God Hand for PS2 as wellIkaruga is harder than any of those as far as gameplay but anyone can beat it once autoplay is unlocked. Beating it isn't the point of that game though.
Battletoads can take all 5 spots for me.
