NG2 tests of valor help

I'm on my 1st playthrough and am on chapter 8 and have not seen or found a test of valor. I was looking at the acheivements and it was saying things about the tests of valor and i was curious about it b/c i have not seen or done these throughout the game. If some one could tell me about them it would b much appreciated.NG2 tests of valor help

You must have missed the rod of valor. In chapter 2 there is a place with a shrine like area where a bunch of ninjas come at you. If you don't leave the area and defeat them all you'll see a small scene about candles being lit by the shrine. That's where you pick up the rod which will allow you to see the test areas throughout the levels. There are 9 tests in the whole game and each one gives you cool items and achievement points. If you're gonna play through this game again don't worry about it, just look for it on your second playthrough. The items are special items btw, for your health bar and ninpo.
I'd like to know before I buy the game as well

The last test I believe is in chapter 10 or 11 which is almost at the end of the game. You'll pretty much be playing through this game again if you missed the rod in chapter 2 and want to beat all the tests.

I'm playing through warrior now and beating all the tests of valor again to make sure I really did earn those achievements from them. Anyways I still don't know what you mean.

Anyways I still don't know what you mean.[/QUOTE]I must have missed it the first time then...I am pretty good about not running though areas and leaving any enemies behind..So when I got the rod on my second play thou...I thought it was because it was on easy..all good... sorry about the wrong info
thx 4 the help, guess i'll just do it on my 2nd playthroughalso, is it better 2 have 2 or 3 fully upgraded weapons or 2 upgrade each equally. I did them equally and am now wishing i did not.
I usually upgrade the weapons that i'm most comfortable using. It's good to have your most favorite weapons maxed out and the other ones you don't use much at level 2 or 1. I'm switching between 2 weapons on my second playthrough, the lunar staff and the duel swords which are both maxed out at level 3.

You must atart from the beginning again.
