I just beat Ninja Gaiden II last night on Path of the Warrior, and I have to say that its easily the most difficult game I've ever played. I literally had to exert every ounce of my concentration and coordination to beat certain parts. Once you get past the mid-way point of the game, even the simple periodic battles with small groups of ninjas become insanely difficult. However in the end, I really felt like I was able to beat the game through skill and learning HOW to succeed, rather than just button mashing.
I know we're going to get people posting here who say ''this game was the easiest game evar, you just suckz'', but get real. Admit it, there were moments where you want to rip the disc out like it was the heart of your enemy and break it in half!
Through the love and the hate I had at different times, after beating it I can confidently say its the best action game I've ever played. The action sequences in this game are completely unmatched. Underrated!!!Ninja Gaiden II: Most Difficult Game You ...
Congratulations. Now try beating R-Type 3.Ninja Gaiden II: Most Difficult Game You ...
Did you ever play Ninja Gaiden Black?i mean this game is no walk in te park but Ninja Gaiden Black was ....... Incredably hard
I did. I'm a huge Ninja Gaiden fan. For some reason, and maybe because I'm aging or something and my reflexes are going, but I found NG II to be more difficult.
NG2 is amazing, but the original was WAY harder. i beat NG2 on warrior but i had to play black on ninja dog
I think NG2 on normal is like NGB on hard. I had more trouble with the first Ninja Gaiden (before Black). I found it harder because it was the first time I'd ever played Ninja Gaiden and of course the first Ninja Gaiden didn't have an easy mode so I had to play on normal my first time through. It is probably the hardest thing I've done in my gaming career. I've been playing NG, NGB and NGS ever since so the skills I leaned playing them made NG2 a bit easier. Let me just make it clear, I'm not saying NG2 was easy. It was very hard. I'm just saying it would've been a lot harder if I hadn't played the first Ninja Gaiden. I played NG2 on Warrior. Great game.
I personally think the hardest game I have for the 360 is Dead or Alive 4 (which happens to be made by the same people). I haven't play Ninja Gaiden 2 yet. But damn, doa4 is totally impossible, I don't know how people do it.

That game would have benefited from some good game speed controls like street fighter.
Ninja Gaiden 2 was really hard and compared to Ninja Gaiden Black, I would say they are about even at some points. To those people who said they beat it on Warrior and made it sound like it was easy. Go and play the next two difficulties.
Im sorry NG2 is no way in HELL as hard as the previous game. It was a easy as hell. Especially after you get the syth. You could just donimate all the bosses. When I played NGS I cursed and almost broke my controller. NG2 never got me like that. THe only annoying boss was that metal worm thing. After that it was all cake.
What difficulty did you play on? Probably Acolyte or Warrior. Try one of the harder difficulties because you obviously didn't play that much.
i watched my friend beat the last to chapters on Warrior. Then we tried the last difficulty level and we only made it to chapter 9...
From what i've played of NG2 i think Black is significantly harder
Same for me, i never tried black, but have the orginal, which not onyl didnt have an easy mode, it also didn't refill your health when you saved. I could beat that on normal, possibly on hard, but never tried. NG2 i played on acrolyte, when i should have played on warrior setting. Acrolyte is too easy imo. Either way, both amazingly fun and amazingly hard.
it is challenging but not the hardest
I would agree with you that it was hard although I didn't make some very good decisions on my first playthrough that made it harder than it should have been as I was waaaay too conservative with healing items, ignored projectile weapons for much of the game and decided to go after the dragon sword achievement right away. I didn't really play enough of Black to make a fair comparison but I completed NG1 and definitely don't recall having as much trouble with NG1 as I did with this one. Warrior is not really close to the hardest thing I've ever tried though. There's a pretty long list of stuff harder than that (a few of them are on XBL Arcade). Acolyte is not exactly what I would call easy but it is much more forgiving than the higher difficulties so anyone who plays on that difficulty to start out is going to wonder what the fuss is about. I'm trying Mentor now, too early to say there, although I hear once you get past the early stages it's not too much worse. If I'm able to beat Mentor I probably won't even bother with Master Ninja.
I beat it on acolyte and it really wasnt that difficult. Some of the bosses will just piss you off but besides that its Ryu kickin major @$$
What difficulty did you play on? Probably Acolyte or Warrior. Try one of the harder difficulties because you obviously didn't play that much.
I judge a games difficulty on its default normal mode which in this case is warrior. No duh if you put it on hard its going to be hard. Its just the fact that the past NG game on its default difficulty is way harder then this default difficulty.
I beat Ninja Gaiden Black on Very Hard and I was having a bit of trouble on the first few levels on Path of the Warrior on NG2. Maybe it's because Ryu sucks in the early levels or maybe I'm not nearly as good as I used to be.
I thought NG2 was a lot more uneven the the previous Ninja Gaidens. At certain points it just felt incredibly easy, and then out of nowhere I'm getting my butt-kicked. In NGB it seemed like a pretty steady increase of difficulty, which imo, made it a bit easier. I still think Metal Slug 3 is harder than both though.
