I have a bad feeling...but it said when i bought the console on ebay that it would not include an HDMI port.. What does that mean? HDMI port is another cable that gives you hi-def picture quality. It is found on 360's made around September-October of 2007 and after. I don't know about buying a used 360, since it is opened already since he said it has an upgraded fan this voids any warranty through Microsoft. I'm confused.[/QUOTE]There is a fan already in the 360, but the word upgrade means to improve so that would mean theres supposed to be a ''better'' fan that the seller or someone else put inside. In order to upgrade a fan the 360 must be opened thus voiding MS's warranty. In order for MS to fix a broken 360 one of the requirements is to not have opened the 360.

Check the back of your console: If the barcode sticker with your 360's serial number has been tampered with (i.e. obviously peeled off and put back, or slit down the middle, then your 360 has been opened and the warranty is void. Otherwise, the seller might simply be trying to tell you that it's a more modern 360 with a better fan (as opposed to the launch-era consoles that have crap fans and sound like a jet aircraft taking off).As for the HDMI, I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a TV over about 42'' that is capable of 1080p. For TVs smaller than that, you won't be able to tell much difference between HDMI and the regular component HD cables.

If they were refurbished by Microsoft, in some cases they will end up being more dependable than a brand new one, since they've already been tested out of the box and any issues it might have had were fixed.Even so, I wouldn't go for one that has a void warranty.

Nyko Intercooler yes or no

So my xbox360 arrives tomorrow after being repaired from Microsoft repair center. So I'm not sure to use the nyko inter-cooler I bought a long time ago. is not the ''EX'' version. is the one with the plastic cover for the electric port. I don't wanna let my xbox360 get the RROD so I don't know if I should use it or not. Some people says it actually burns your xbox360 because instead of cooling it heats up your xbox360 more. some other people say it sucks power from your xbox360 and kill it. So i'm not sure what I should Do. :/I think. First i need to see if they repaired or sent me a new console if they sent me a new console with the newest chip. and some people say that the newest versions of xbox360 aren't unable to attach the inter-cooler.If they repaired my account I got 2 options. Try it with the inter-cooler and take it off if at some moment I start getting the can't read disc errors or freezing and just play it normal regularly up to 4 hours continuously and take a 2 hour break.Hope you guys can Illustrate me with some ideas.Nyko Intercooler yes or no

Make sure you get the new Metal one. If you get the old plastic one, it can melt to your 360 voiding your warranty.
Get the EX, dont screw yourself over, I had it till my system red ringed and had to take it off..suddenly ripped the metal casing off of the EX plug into the system, so I gotta grab a new one.Just a warning, doesn't stop the red ring but definately helps cooling by an AMAZING amount.

Yes they do. I've had the EX since 2006 and I've never had the Red Ring of Death. It doesn't prevent it 100% because overheating isn't the only thing that causes it but it cuts the chance of down a lot. A friend of mine actually talks about it in great detail on his internet radio show, the link is in my sig.

What I meant was that, this far in the game, we shouldn't need third-party peripherals just to keep our gaming machines working. Did you ever buy one of these ''coolers'' for your PS2? Sure, the PS2 doesn't produce nearly as much heat as these consoles, but the idea is the following: Why couldn't Microsoft have seen overheating as a problem? Why couldn't they change the form factor of the 360 to allow better air flow? Ran it on Oblivion and Call of Duty 4, usually for more than 4 hours a day. I never used a cooler. No RRoD. Of course, then I sold it for a PS3. Now I have a new 360.

In all seriousness, the intercoolers/pelican coolers do not let your 360 have enough power to do its own climate control therefore during prolonged play when the 360 is using max power, it can cause shorts in the connectors between the 360 and intercooler or worse, shorts inside the climate control part of the 360 motherboard. this can cause the connectors to heat to well beyond what is allowed thereby causeing the connectors or plastic coverings to cause bonding with the metal or plasic of the 360.I think this part is crap but they say that you should not use a powerstrip with your 360, but those crasy MS people will blame anything but the fact that they had a crappy hardware development team.

The best measure to take is to make sure your 360 is in a place where it gets as much air as possible. Mine is on a large shelf all by itself - with its power unit - which I think should also recieve fresh air - and it hasn't given me any problems since launch. *knock on wood*.
You shouldn't need it but you do. I love my 360 but MS did a crappy job with their internal cooler. It just isn't suffecient.

I got the Intercooler EX. It seems to work pretty well for the most part, except the thing is quite nosiy. Is that a desiel truck running in my living room? No, its the intercooler.
Well I was playing On my xbox360 last night for an hour. And after I finished playing It was Mild Hot. So I wanan try out using my xbox360 with The Nyko Intercooler even tho I won't play for that much maximum 4 hours . I just wanna keep it cool till I play for 2 hours what you think? . I have the EX but I only used it for about 2 months. It does a fine job of cooling the console down but I don't like how it steals power from the xbox. Also the connector on it that you plug your power cord into is terrible. Sometimes my xbox would not turn on so I had to jiggle the cord until it did. I am thinking about getting one of the new intercoolers with an external power supply. If I were you I would look into one of those.

I had a EX on my first console and had power issues where the EX was dragging power away from my console causing some issues, it also made lots of noise and I still got an RROD. I got a new console and didn't put the EX on it and so far it has been fine. There is no reason for the fan if you keep your console in a cool, dust free area where it has lots of room to breath.

Yes, you should get Bad Company. Why? Simply download the demo and/or check out some of the gamplay vids.
I enjoy it but there is a demo out on the marketplace that includes online so you can try before you buy :D. Also play a few times online before choosing if to buy it or not, it takes some time to get used to a class and the controls.

Chronologically, yes he could appear in the game.... whether or not he will is tough to guess. However, Im pretty sure there is abattle on Reach after it gets glassed, and if you know the novels, then you know tha tMC was there with a couple of his comrades (Kelly, Nicole etc)...

i played the demo and got somewhat bored with it before i ever finished it. it was SO repedative. walk 10-20 feet kill 4-8 guys walk another 10-20 feet kill 4-8 more guys etc. etc. etc.

i wasnt really liking it either through ch 1 -3,but i continued to eventually beat the game and i am currently on ch 7 on a new game+.all the chapters are good except for chapter 3.the problem is in the first 2 your getting used to everything then all of a sudden they throw a really bad chapter at you.i can see how some ppl didnt like it.but my response is you didnt play the rest of the game. oh yeah chapter 1and 2 are better in a new game plus because at this point you already know the controls so you can enjoy those levels fully.

NOW, what you want to do before this is make sure the return clerks are total **** idiots otherwise they will check the bar codes... ive done this several times and im the lucky one ive been told. but if all works well then you should have a bran new xbox for 200 or less. thats some good advice son. id take it if i were you

You want one with the newest chipset. Those should be the HDMI equipped ones.

Honestly, I wouldnt buy an game consoles used unless you can buy one from a trusted friend or family member. It's just not worth it at the end of the day when your system is going haywire and you're pulling out books to troubleshoot your misery away. From my personal experience, I have a 60GB PS3, and if it werent for the rarity of this model, and the fact that it's backwards compatible with the Emotion engine, I would have never bought it used. I'm a hassle-free kind of guy and I dont want to be stuck with a piece of junk that's dead weight. Fork over the extra cash to get a new system. If you dont have enough money yet, be patient. Trust me, it will pay off big time when you're not pulling out your hair trying to figure out what's wrong with your game console. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Given the technical problems the 360 seems to have, I would say buying it second hand is a huge risk. Dont take your chances, and just buy it brand new. Now if you were talking about an original xbox, then thats different, and I would go ahead and buy it second hand.

Many apologies if this has been asked many times before.I just got my 360, and it seems when I play on my older TV using the default cables (yellow, white, red) it displays the Xbox 360 image. But without color. It's in black and white only.I tried on my other TV, and it plays it just fine. Has all the colors and everything.Neither of these TVs are in HD. The only thing I can think of at this point is that your TV is really old and it has finally given up OR the TV isnt recieving the cables correctly. OR.. you can try and mess with your settings of the TV menu.
I never heard of this problem... type it in on google and see if anyone else has the same issue.
Are you in a PAL country? Perhaps the 60hz/50hz is going down well with your tv.
Make sure your SDTV switch on your AV cable is set correctly and try the PAL-50/PAL-60 settings in the dashboard. PAL-60 is an NTSC signal so if your TV doesn't support it, it'll be b%26w.

I think you should just rent Alone in the Dark. I personally think the fire mechanics will be boring or irritating for long run, unless you like those game that fills with darkness.

[/QUOTE]Agreed Lost odyssey is my favorite game this year. Mulitiplayer games might ''last longer'' if you don't feel the urge to replay them but to me a great rpg has lasting appeal. The stories are better and will most likely touch you as most multiplayer ones aren't really good enough to remember.I'd choose BF:BC because it interests me more than Alone in the dark. I'd just wait for reviews on both though Alone in the dark is sketchy to me at least.

Just as good quality, but alot longer campaign. Forge, theatre and amazing live. Uhm, CoD, short but good campaign, amazing live and customization. They're both great, just halo offers more. Not to mention the DLC in Halo. I found the 1 map pack CoD has to be quite lame at best, while Halo's ones are greatOh yeah, custom games are also great. Forge, custom games and theatre make Halo limitless.

Easily Bioshock is the best game of the three- one of the most intriuging story lines ever written. COD4 and halo 3 are good also but the images and gameplay of Bioshock are unforgettable

Never played COD4. Should be getting Bioshock 2moz and i hav halo which i do enjoy playing. Occasionally it does get a little boring but i tend to play a mixture of custom and matchmade games. Campaign was pretty poor tbh and is slightly less lame on co-op.

Well, it's more along the line of who you want whacked more: a druggie or a crooked cop. I killed Francis, and got nothing major...I don't know if you get some special reward if you rub out Derrick.Francis or Derrick(warning:spoiler)
It doesn't make any major difference to the story. And you don't have any contact with the one you don't kill afterwards anyway.
I think if you kill Francis, it makes the next mission a bit easier because you don't have to drive as far...that's all I'll say without spoiling it!
