The new trailer came out for Call of Duty: World at War and theres a wave of disgust towards this great franchise for going back to its roots. My question is why. So many people are judging the game and making up their minds about it stating that its an abolishment and treyarch comitted murder. Personally i cant wait to get my hands on this game and if they stay true to the formula it wont disappoint. But fanboys will be fanboys and if CoD 5 isnt set in a modern setting and Infinity Ward arent sitting behind the wheel, its blashphemy. But true and hardcore gamers know that the succesful formula for a game isnt fancy graphics or crazy settings but gameplay and coremechanics. Gimmicks get old quick. All in all its just to see so many ''gamers'' bash on a game simply by ONE trailer set in Iwo Jima.Call of duty 5 reactions
anyone no where i can see the trailer online, my 360 is momentarily broken and is getting fixed so i dont have acces to marketplace.. is there a way to view it onlineCall of duty 5 reactions
Personally I'm not thrilled about going back to WW2 as the modern warfare is great with the newer weapon technology.I do have to admit though - the trailer for COD W@W looks intense !!!!
wow i just watched the trailer and i am impressed. it looks insane. im totaly gunna buy it. not that i was not going to in the first place
I just watched the Trailer and it does look pretty good!
u sound fruity for making this forum.
I've always like call of duty games, and even though I haven't seen the trailer, I don't see why everyone says it's gonna suck. Call of duty 3 was great. And cod5 is gonna take place in Japan, so that's something new for the ww2 genre also. My prediction says it won't be a bad game. It might not be great, but it's not gonna suck either.
The game is being made by Treyarch. Remember Big Red One? Yeah, enough said.
Its being made by Treyarch and
Treyarch fail at Call of Duty.
Of course people will be disappointed with this installment, people have forgotten earlier versions in place of COD4. This one seems to be a lot ''darker'' and maybe a longer more thought out single player? I dunno, just ranting. Trailer

it looks 5 x more intense just looking at the trailer. And more brutal. I had nothing against 3 and i am excited for this one.
I don't really like WW2 games in general so i doubt i'll buy it, but i may rent it just to see how it is
seems like its making the same mistakes COD3 did which was making the game far too dramtic. they need to remember it is an arcade shooter. Brothers in arms is a great game with a dramtic storyline that suits well but i think cod5 shouldnt try to be dramtic because they neevr seem to make you care for the characters, they all seem far too wooden. i think the single player will be average but the muliplayer will kick ass just like COD3
....have generally been pretty poor so far
I think it will turn out well. All the previous installments have thus far.
I completely agree, its so annoying when i see these Infinity Ward diehards put this game down before it even has a chance, the trailer looks pretty pimpin, and also i thought cod3 was just as good as cod4, so im definitely buying this
I'm actually really interested in seeing how it turns out. Previous World War II games, with a Pacific setting, have been pretty bad, but this looks like it will change all of that. No, it won't be like an Infinity Ward Call of Duty, but it will still be good in it's own right. Treyarch has been getting a lot of flak lately, but I loved the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty 3 and I only expect the same type of quality multiplayer with World at War.
It seems as this game will exceed my standards.
looks insame must have game for me
Yes, Japan! Finally. This game is a keeper for me ;D
